Charlie Grubb is a Senior Managing Director at Robert Half Executive Search. Drawing more than two decades experience in the recruitment industry, Charlie will work with clients across the UK assisting them to find the very best talent to complement their C-suite and executive team.
His clients have included FTSE 250 corporations as well as early stage VC or PE-backed companies, in technology, healthcare, retail, distribution and financial services.
He is passionate and always focused in helping his clients identify and ultimately secure their most valuable assets: their executive talent.
Having joined Robert Half in 2013 as the Associate Director for Robert Half Technology, Charlie was responsible for managing our offices across the London, Birmingham and Bristol locations and was one of the founding members of the Robert Half Technology business within the UK.
Prior to this, Charlie gained a wealth of experience in C-suite recruitment and executive search having established and managed a privately-owned executive search firm for eight years, working with businesses across professional services, retail and distribution, banking and financial services, health, education, and not-for-profit sectors. Combining this with his impeccable track record of placing highly-skilled technology and digital professionals, Charlie specialises in the placement of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Managing Directors, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officers, HR Directors and Commercial Directors.
Charlie has excelled in developing strong relationships with executive boards to advise on their recruitment needs backed up with solutions to ultimately find a successful candidate for the position. It is this expertise in the hiring market that sees Charlie regularly called on to provide comment to the media and industry publications.
Leyla is a Managing Director at Robert Half Executive Search. With over 15 years of experience in executive recruitment, and for much of that time running her own firm, Leyla has established expertise in senior finance and board level appointments. More recently, she has specialised in recruiting non-executive directors to AIM listed PLCs.
Recognised by clients for her boundless enthusiasm and tenacity, Leyla’s skill and dedication has ensured a track record of placing low attrition candidates with the staying power for longer lasting placements.
Starting with Robert Half in 2005. Leyla quickly built strong relationships with a broad range of businesses who relied on her skill set and expertise to find them the right senior talent. She soon established herself as one of Manchester’s most trusted executive search consultants. In 2010, she set up Tindall Perry Partnership, a boutique recruitment firm, broadening her experience in partnering public company, private equity backed, and privately owned enterprises in the appointment of key executive hires.
Leyla has recruited into sectors which include: FMCG, industrial, consumer products, retail, travel and leisure, eCommerce, financial services and supply chain/logistics. She has maintained a strong functional expertise in the appointment of CEOs and CFOs, as well as their direct reports. Now she has returned to Robert Half looking to share and build on her extensive local network with an agency that offers UK-wide scope. Where relevant, she will work arm-in-arm with our sister consultancy, Protiviti to deliver a first class service for clients looking for C-Suite talent and strong management guidance to help build their business.
Known fondly by many of her clients as ‘Tigger’, Leyla has an infectious enthusiasm and dedicated passion for finding the right talent; whatever the role or the client mandate, she prides herself on exceptional delivery.
Jonathan is a Principal of Robert Half Executive Search, specialising in executive and senior-level search engagements in the UK across multiple industry sectors. With nearly 20 years consultancy experiences in the Home Counties areas, Jonathan focuses on understanding the needs of both the clients and candidates, and matching those requirements with a tailored search. Based out of the Milton Keynes office, Jonathan has built up a strong network within the region specialising in the delivery of uniquely personalised service.
Starting with Robert Half in 2011 as a recruitment consultant for Robert Half Management Resources and in 2013 he moved divisions to support Robert Half Finance and Accounting. Throughout his time with Robert Half he has developed a strong reputation in the market for finding high calibre candidates and consequently on the back of his success was then asked to join the Executive Search team in 2016. Jonathan’s strength lies in his ability to build meaningful relationships that foster long-lasting partnerships, working closely with a diverse range of clients from multi-national corporations through to SMEs; enabling highly skilled individuals to secure roles in sectors such as retail, construction, leisure, FMCG, supply chain, manufacturing, business services. With Jonathan’s vast network along with his executive candidate development skills, he is able to identify top-level, executive leadership talent, for his diverse blend of clients in multiple vertical industries.
Phil has over 30 years’ experience with Robert Half and during this time has undertaken a wide range of different roles both regionally and nationally. As a Senior Associate, he focuses on building long-term partnerships with his clients and candidates, in order to offer a service built on professionalism, integrity, trust, and openness.
Phil started as a consultant with our temporary division and was later instrumental in setting up Robert Half Management Resources in the UK, placing senior level executives on a project, consulting and interim basis. He has extensive experience of helping clients to identify and recruit senior level finance and accounting professionals into permanent roles. Phil has also gained significant experience working as UK Client Relationship Manager, responsible for driving Robert Half’s customer excellence and loyalty programs and designing our Client Loyalty Score analysis and communication/training. Phil has supported clients from a wide range of industrial sectors, including SME’s through to large, international, listed companies. He prides himself on delivering exceptional customer service with a keen eye for detail, along with his professional style of working.
Giles Lewis is a Senior Associate at Robert Half Executive Search. Giles has 15 years of experience of leadership recruitment, with a strong research pedigree. He has worked both in search firms and in-house and understands the nuances and priorities of both. Giles has extensive experience of recruiting globally, and has lived and worked in England, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia, leading searches across the world. He has hired leaders across a number of functional disciplines up to board level for both established blue-chip players and smaller, high-growth companies. Giles is committed to providing excellent candidate and client experiences and delivering high-impact leaders that will drive his clients forward.
Giles began his career establishing search methodologies for a boutique executive search firm, subsequently moving through a broad range of research and delivery roles within executive search and consulting. After seven years in a search firm environment, Giles moved in-house and relocated to Saudi Arabia to help set up the global executive search function for Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest Oil, Energy and Chemicals company, hiring key leadership talent into the Kingdom. From there, Giles moved to Seoul, South Korea, and helped build the recruiting centre of excellence for Coupang, Korea’s answer to Amazon, recruiting technical specialists and leaders from all around the world. On relocating to the UK, Giles led global executive searches for Rotork and worked in leadership recruitment for OVO Energy. He has a strong interest in the points at which technology meets the real world, reflected in his experience in the energy, eCommerce and logistics tech sectors.
